Lagrangian trajectories of particles subjected to wind advection issued from the meteorological model IFS.

Abstract:
Lagrangian trajectories of three particles launched at 500, 1500 and 3000m levels. Particles are then subjected to wind advection. The wind field is provided by the IFS meteorological model. The trajectories cover a global area, from step 0h to 84h starting from the time of release. The time step is 6 hours. Outputs are in png format. Data access is restricted to institutional authorities. Trajectoires lagrangiennes de trois particules lancées aux altitudes 500, 1500 et 3000m et soumises alors à l'advection par le champ de vent moyen. Le champ de vent est fourni par le modèle météorologique IFS. Les trajectoires couvrent le déplacement des particules à l'échelle globale sur une fenêtre temporelle de 180 heures au pas de temps 6heures. Sorties au format png
