Orbital Ground Tracks - Metop B

Abstract:
Single orbital ground tracks of platform METOP-B, for the Advanced Very High Resolution Radiometer (AVHRR) instrument. The product displays the path that the satellite "draws" on the surface of Earth while moving in a near-polar sun-synchronous orbit. From every single orbit it is possible to access to all the Product Dissemination Units (PDUs) included in that orbit. Each PDU contains 3 minutes of measurements. There are approximately 33/34 PDUs per orbit. For every PDU, the starting time is provided, in format YYYY-MM-DDThh:mm:ssZ. PDUs are aggregated into full orbits for some EUMETSAT and satellite application facility (SAF) products. For every PDU, the starting time is provided, in format YYYY-MM-DDThh:mm:ssZ. This product can be downloaded as numerical data in EUMETView NG, where it is provided through a Web Feature Service (WFS).
