IGOR Level 1B Bending Angle Climate Data Record Release 1 - COSMIC

Abstract:
The COSMIC Level 1B Bending Angle Fundamental Climate Data Record (FCDR) Release 1 comprises reprocessed Level 1B Radio Occultation (RO) bending-angle data from GPS RO measurements onboard from COSMIC-1 satellites covering the period 2006-2020. The software used to perform the reprocessing is EUMETSAT’s reference RO processor (Yaros 2.0), which uses a 'wave optics' (fast phase transform) retrieval algorithm algorithm. The data record has global coverage and is available in two formats: individual occultation Network Common Data Form 4 (netCDF4) files and individual occultation Binary Universal Form for the Representation of meteorological data (BUFR) files. This is a Fundamental Climate Data Record (FCDR) produced for the Copernicus Climate Change Service.
