AVHRR Level 0 - Multimission - Regional

Abstract:
The Advanced Very High Resolution Radiometer (AVHRR) is a multipurpose imaging instrument used for the global monitoring of cloud cover, sea surface temperature, ice, snow and vegetation characteristics. The EUMETSAT Advanced Retransmission Service (EARS) provides instrument data from the Metop and NOAA satellites collected via a network of Direct Readout stations. Segments of one-minute duration are disseminated to users via EUMETCast and these segments can be concatenated together by users to construct a regional pass. Note that some historical NOAA-17 and NOAA-18 data are available from the Data Centre. NOTE: Since 15/10/2021, Metop-A EARS regional data are no longer available.
