OBS_COMS_MI_L2_SSI-8DM_PNG_A

Abstract:
The Snow detection and Sea Ice(SSI) product is the estimated sea ice and snow covered regions. It is calculated from 2 channels(visible, shortwave infrared) measurement. During the daytime, measured shortwave infrared depends both on the thermal and reflectivity component. As the reflectivity over snow is much smaller than bare-soil, differential Tb can be used for the snow detection. Objservation area is Asia
