Abstract:
The Beijing Climate Center (BCC) was created by the China Meteorological Administration (CMA) - English version - in March 2003 to focus on operational and research climate activities, climate monitoring and diagnosis, climate prediction, climate impact assessment and climate change. Daily Drought Monitoring Provides links to maps on the China Drought/Flood Index (in chinese and english), SPI Index and percentage of precipitation. Monthly Climate Monitor of China Provides monthly actual and anomaly maps of temperature and precipitation. Monthly Climate System Monitoring Bulletin Provides over 40 climate diagontic products including total precipitation and percentage of normal precipitation maps. Latest Climate Information Provides the latest climate information such as maps of total precipitation, temperature and precipitation anomalies for the past 10, 20, 30 days, month-to-date and season-to-date. It also provides maps on the Probability distribution of precipitation and high temperatures (>35C). Monthly Summary of Extreme Weather and Climate Events in China.
